For a long time, being a farmer has been seen as a baseness, the last alternative for those who had none, to work the land because there was no way out … Poor, dirty and uneducated. The miserable rural resistance. The homeless.
We feel #proudtobefarmers. We have inherited ancestral varieties that were not cultivated for more than 3 centuries, and we have recovered them. Together with SlowFood we have planted in the middle of a land full of history, full of rural architectural richness that draws a romantic and harmonious landscape where watching a sunset becomes an unforgettable experience.
We want to continue living in this land full of centuries-old trees and younger ones, and we do so respecting the nature and biodiversity around us, practicing organic farming, without generating waste and ensuring the sustainability of all this natural heritage.
For us and for future generations.
The winter light whitened by the fog so characteristic of this land and the silence.
Enjoy the buzz of bees and crickets and the floral pop in spring.
Smell the freshly cut grass, the tomato, the herbs that beautify the fields, the fig tree and nuts during the summer;
and, the music of the tractors in the fall indicating that it is time for the olive harvest. This is our calendar
Joan, Anna, Venanci, Emma and Benja: a team, a family united by this land and by the passion for olicatessen.
And we are not alone! We are surrounded by beekeepers, ranchers, wine growers, cheese and liqueur makers, farmers who work fruit and vegetables …, a territory full of life, full of future and the excitement of #proudtobefarmer.
